Thanks for keeping in touch, Luna! We are very proud of you. And a few questions:
1. Why was a small high school good for you?
From when I was little, I had only been to small schools so I was used to the environment. I really enjoyed the small classrooms because everyone got to know each other pretty fast. Having a small school made it easier for the students to learn and not having to be shy in front of others.
2. How did a small high school prepare you for your future?
In high school, I didn’t know much etiquette and it didn’t make sense why we had such things. As I got older and saw others around me being polite, it became a habit for me as well. Before going to college, I had my parents to rely on. When I got to Hawaii, I was all on my own so it taught me a big lesson to become an adult.
3. What did you do after high school?
After high school, I went to a community college in Hawaii to study Liberal Arts for about 3 years. After I graduated, I worked for a shoe company called Cole Haan. My position was sales associate for Japanese customers since I can speak the language. It was a great experience for me since it was the first time I have ever lived on my own and actually worked for a known company.
