Mr. Kurtis Tomlinson, our very well-liked high school science teacher, has found countless ways to contribute to our school culture in the two years he has taught at TIPS. You can find him in the weightlifting and guitar clubs, on the PE and promoting the well-being of the students in his closely knit Teacher Advisory Program.
“Teaching at TIPS has been an amazing opportunity. I joined TIPS in August of 2019 as the high school science teacher. I love the sense of community that TIPS has fostered. Inclusive education is very important to me, so being in a school that highly promotes this has been very rewarding. Seeing the students support and encourage their classmates is inspiring to me as an educator. I also enjoy the small class sizes as they allow me to differentiate my lessons for each student in order to optimize their learning.
All in all, working at TIPS has inspired me to improve my abilities as an educator and to be the best that I can be for them.”
