The Global Citizenship course delivered their first of four instructional student-led assemblies on October 19, having spent 8 weeks developing activities to deliver the theme of diversity tolerance. The ISS student handbook states “Our students will understand that diversity of ability, gender, culture and ethnicity are strengths to be nurtured and respected.” The grades 11 and 12 students developed a quiz game, a video and a sorting activity that emphasized similarities across ethnic groups. The hour long assembly was fast paced and offered the variety necessary to hold the attention of the whole school.
