An initial inquiry can be received by phone, email or Initial Contact Form. Prospective families are welcome to visit TIPS by appointment to get more information about our school and programs.
Parents provide TIPS with a brief introduction of their child (Initial Contact Form) so that TIPS can answer if the child meets our application requirements.
Application
If you wish to apply to TIPS, please submit the application package along with a 33,000yen(tax included) application fee. The Application Package will be sent to you via email.
Interview with the Principal.
English proficiency assessment may be required. In some cases, an example of a student’s writing may be requested.
1-2 days trial period.
All students are required to have transcripts in English.
Offer of Placement
After consideration of information provided in the application package and the child's performance on the trial day, if TIPS is able to meet your child's needs, an acceptance letter and the Registration Package are sent to the parents by email from the Principal within approximately one week after the above application process finishes.
In some cases, an undiagnosed student may be requested based on previous school reports to meet with the school psychologist. This is to ensure the best service is made available to the family based on recommendations from our psychologist.
Registration
Enrollment is confirmed by receipt of the registration package and the 378,000 yen registration fee. The package and fee are requested within two weeks of offer of placement.
