As part of our work to assist students in attaining the best possible outcome for their future, ISS also provides career counseling. From 10th Grade, students attend regular sessions with the Career Counselor to assist them in deciding on their future university and career options.
The Role of our Career Counselor is to:
- Provide information to TIPS HS students to allow for an informed decision as to the career paths available to them
- Provide information regarding the process to attain admittance into the student’s postsecondary institution of choice
- Support students in the completion of the application process to their postsecondary institutions of choice
- Act as the contact person for representatives of postsecondary institutions interested in providing primary information to our students
- Promote Educational Fairs that may be of benefit to our students
- Liaise with their counter-parts in the Tokyo International School Community to advocate for our students and our school
- Update the TIPS list of post-secondary institutions that our student has been accepted to for promotional purposes
